Repeat Prescriptions

If you require long term medication you must be established on it before the GP will authorise a repeat prescription through reception.

You will then require regular review and you will be informed when this is due.

You can order repeat prescriptions as follows:

  • Order via our Vision Online Service if you have already registered
  • Telephone our 24 hour answer phone line 01224 551627
  • Post your request into the surgery
  • Call into the surgery and deposit your request in the prescription box located within the main reception area

Please use the right hand sheet of your previous prescription to read out or tick the items you require and allow 96 hours (4 surgery working days) processing time for the prescription to be ready. If you would like your prescription posted back to you please allow 5 surgery working days and provide us with a stamped addressed envelope for this purpose.

If you are participating in one of the chemist collection services please advise us of this.

Primary Care & Community Pharmacy - what they do

Two of our lovely colleagues from Primary Care Pharmacy Liz Robertson & Claire Douglas and one from Community Pharmacy Doug Forsyth, kindly agreed to do a talk on Jillian Evans Health Show on shmu community radio about Primary Care Pharmacy & Community Pharmacy, the differences and what services are available.
It's a really positive talk and really helps to explain what everyone does & how they can support patients
