Consultations are
by appointment only. Please
telephone 01224 208312 between
8.00am - 6.00pm for an appointment.
Routine appointments are available
every day in the morning and
afternoon. Urgent cases will be seen
the same day, although it may not be
with your usual doctor.
Please note: If you are unable to
keep your appointment, please
telephone the receptionist as soon
as possible as this will allow us to
re-allocate the appointment to
another patient.
Please make a separate appointment
for each member of the family who
needs to be seen and if you have a
problem that you feel will need a
longer appointment than the routine
10 minutes then please tell the
receptionist in advance.
Surgery Hours
The surgery is open
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm
(excluding local and national
holidays).
All the doctors are
available at varying times
throughout the week.
If you have not been
seen at the surgery for three years
(or one year for those over 75) you
can request a check up appointment
if you wish.
Extended Hours
The surgery also
participates in an enhanced service
to provide extended hour surgeries
these are:
Monday 6.00 – 7.30pm
Tuesday 7.00 – 8.00am & 6.00 –
7.30pm
Wednesday 7.00 – 8.00pm
Thursday 7.00 – 8.00am
Please note that
there are limited services available
during these hours. No nurses are
available so you may have to make
another appointment to come back for
tests. There is also no chaperone
service so please think carefully
about accepting one of these
appointments if you feel you may
require an intimate examination.
TELEPHONE
ADVICE
Garthdee Medical Group is now offering a new service to allow us
to offer Telephone Consultations with most of the Doctors.
Using the Telephone Consultation Service may prevent you having to
take a morning/afternoon off work.
If you, as a patient, wish to choose this option please ask the
receptionist when you call, and advise her that you wish a telephone
consultation.
You will be asked for your contact telephone number, but you must
ensure that you give us the correct telephone number and that you
make yourself available to accept the call at the time given by the
receptionist.
Chaperones
If you would prefer to have another
person present during your
appointment please let your doctor
or receptionist know and they will
be happy to make arrangements.
